The Photographers’ Gallery commissioned photographer Othello de’Souza-Hartley to photograph people as part of his ongoing Stylees project, begun in 2003. De’Souza-Hartley is interested in capturing people who have their own, unique fashion style, always against his signature red backdrop.
The photographs shown here represent just some of the dozens taken during The Photographers’ Gallery’s opening weekend at Ramillies Street, on 6 and 7 December 2008. It also forms part of the Gallery’s ongoing commitment to photography projects in London’s Soho, our immediate neighbourhood.
