The Photographers' Gallery, the first independent gallery in Britain devoted to photography, was founded in 1971. Since that time the Gallery has developed a reputation as the UK's primary venue for contemporary photography.

The Photographers' Gallery is a registered charity (No. 262548). We receive core funding from Arts Council England, but have to raise 60% of our expenditure every year. We can only do this with the generous support of our visitors and supporters.

It is an exciting time in the history of the Gallery, as we are transforming our building on Ramillies Street, London. Find out more
